Pilot and Head of Training – A318

Constellation Aviation Services LLC is looking for an A318 Pilot and Head of Training to join their office in Dubai.  As Head of Training, you will fulfil the Post Holder Head of Training responsible for the training of all crew members to regulatory requirements and the standards set by CASL and by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). We are looking for someone that has a minimum of 8,000 flying hours and a minimum of 3 years as a Nominated Post Holder, with training and experience within aviation.

The appointment of Head of Training requires the approval of the GCAA.

Experience and Skills:

  • Holder of Valid GCAA ATPL and Pilot Medical Certificate.
  • At least 8 years of experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in airline/VVIP management in the Middle East.
  • Extensive regulatory knowledge of crew training and testing.
  • Knowledgeable of UAE GCAA regulation and international air legislation and accepted aviation practices and procedures.
  • Current Type Rating Instructor on a type/class operated under the AOC/Authorization.
  • Holder of an Instructor or Examiner rating/Authorisation.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  •  Ensure that the aeroplane under his command is operated according to the laws of the UAE and within the legal requirements of other States where these apply.
  • Have authority to give all commands he deems necessary for securing the safety of the aeroplane and persons or property carried therein, and all persons carried in the aeroplane shall obey such commands.
  • Setting the policy for the efficient training of CASL’s flight crew and cabin crew.
  • The calculation, submission, and control of the Crew Training budget.
  • Setting training standards and targets that meet the GCAA’s and CASL’s requirements.
  • Liaising with the GCAA on all matters concerning crew training and checking.
  • The standardisation of training and testing techniques within CASL.
  • On behalf of the CEO, the production, revision, and amendment of the Operations Manual Part D.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of the aeroplane and the safety of its occupants and cargo during flight time.

  •  Broad operational knowledge and experience in the functions of the organization (e.g. aircraft operations, maintenance, organization management, business development etc.…);
  • Sound knowledge of crew training principles and practices;
  • Good written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Leadership skills and an authoritative approach; and
  • Organized and strategic with high attention to detail
  • Dedicated, proactive and efficient in meeting deadlines and able to manage stress if necessary
  • Smart appearance, well-presented and professional at all times
